Spring Term: Week 3

The boarders caught up via Teams last weekend

The boarders are continuing to make a huge effort and great strides working online and it is lovely to hear them all participate in lessons with such enthusiasm. The confidence and collaboration that our international boarders are displaying when online is clearly evident and it is testament to the staff and the day children for creating an environment in which they feel comfortable to contribute and are allowed to thrive.

It was wonderful to speak to the majority of the boarders last Saturday afternoon when I hosted a group Teams call for the whole Colstocks community. The boarders enjoyed catching up informally and sharing anecdotes from the last few weeks and both Sister Vicks and I took much pleasure from seeing their happiness. Moving forwards we will be speaking as a group fortnightly as we look to provide the boarders with an opportunity to socialise together, albeit virtually!

The weekend’s exeat arrives at a good time for those boarders here at school. Some will return home to spend the weekend with their family while others will remain with us in school and spend the weekend enjoying plenty of downtime and, weather permitting, a few walks to enjoy the local scenery.
