Summer Term: Week 3

The last two Wednesdays provided some of the boarders with the opportunity to represent the school and play in their first ever cricket matches. The majority of them continued playing it on the field in the evenings too, as well as football and basketball in the Goodwin Sports Hall. For others, post-supper provided time for relaxation in the House and to enjoy a few board games.

Work on the penthouse in the girls’ area of the House is well underway and, once complete, will signal the end of the Colstocks renovation. The final phase has seen all bedrooms being decorated and a new homely girls’ common room to ensure parity between the male and female Colstocks residents.

And so with exeat upon us, the boarders head off for a long weekend to be reunited with their families or to spend time with guardians or host families. A small minority will remain in school and will be supervised by Miss Lozano. So many lovely new friendships have blossomed over the last three weeks but a rest always does everyone good.

Congratulations to Oscar Sims, this week’s recipient of Tommo’s Trophy, for demonstrating an all-round improvement.
