Summer Term: Week 6

With assessments around the corner for the majority of our boarders, many of the Colstocks residents have been soaking up the relaxing atmosphere of our snack room to revise or socialise. The opportunity to have a cup of tea, a bowl of cereal or some fresh fruit is a real positive for the boarders as we try to replicate ‘home life’ for them.

Without doubt, the most popular evening of the week is Noddle Night! Each Wednesday, the boarders can purchase noodles from the Colstocks tuck shop or bring their own noodles in and, truly, the whole room is bursting with excitement! Most are eager to offer me a brief description of the ingredients in their noodle pots and some are even willing to let me have a little taste (in a COVID friendly manner, of course!).

The boarders are delighted to be resuming their Sunday trips programme. Last Saturday, Mrs Radley organised a pamper party for the boarders before we all came together to watch Back to the Future and on Sunday we enjoyed a new indoor climbing experience at Ordinary Climbers in Polegate. Terrific fun!

This weekend is shaping up to be another busy one. On Saturday Miss McCollin will be teaching the boarders how to play Ultimate Frisbee and on Sunday Mrs Shephard will be taking them paddle boarding at Cuckmere.

Tommo's Throphy - Yuna Song

Congratulations to Yuna Song, this week’s recipient of Tommo’s Trophy, for settling so quickly and throwing herself into everything. She has also displayed maturity beyond her years.
