Summer Term: Week 9

All things considered, it has been a relatively quiet week in Colstocks though we have had a couple of late night disturbances. The first came on Saturday evening at 10pm when a spectacular firework display woke the boarders and then on Tuesday a few boarders were woken again by an impressive thunder storm.

Our Years 5 to 7 children are looking forward to their trips out next Friday and our Year 8s have trips and events galore in the coming two weeks. Next week they will be going on a trip each day to venues including the brilliant Go Ape and Bewl Water. And the final week of term is jam-packed with Sports Day (which we hope will be live-streamed for everyone to watch at home), the Summer Serenade and Speech Day. The Year 8s also have their Leavers’ Party of course.

The weekend ahead is shaping up…excitement is building ahead of the England v Scotland football match this evening and the boarders will be relaxing and baking tomorrow afternoon. On Sunday they will be spending the day at Thorpe Park and will return to enjoy a Domino’s pizza in the evening.

Congratulations to Feodora Kwan, this week’s recipient of Tommo’s Trophy, for making a conscious effort to mix with everyone in the House and for going out of her way to be a very helpful buddy in Colstocks.
