It’s a dog’s life
Following the annual sponsored walk earlier in the Autumn Term, St Andrew’s presented a cheque for £2,000 to one of the chosen charities, Canine Partners.
The cheque was presented to Ruth Narracott, the Charities Trainer for East Sussex and John Wilton, President of The Rotary Club of Eastbourne Sovereign who had organised the marshalling of the walk across the Downs along with members of the Rotary Clubs of Eastbourne Sovereign, Eastbourne AM and Beachy Head.
An incredible £520 was raised by one of the youngest nursery walkers and she was rewarded for her efforts with a Canine Partners teddy bear. Together, the children pictured raised over £1220 – well worth the hours spent yomping the Downs.
