Rugby and Netball Festival

On Sunday, 17 November, we were pleased to host our annual Rugby and Netball Festival at St Andrew’s Prep. The event welcomed 36 rugby teams from across the county, with over 450 U9, U10, and U11 athletes participating. It was a day focused on fun, sportsmanship, and fair play, with students giving their best for their teams while maintaining the spirit of the event.

This year, we were excited to introduce local netball teams to our courts, where we saw some talented junior players enjoying the game and celebrating with ‘three cheers’ and player of the match awards.

The festival was a great success, with positive feedback from children, parents, and coaches. One coach shared, “What a brilliant day – all the coaches loved every minute of it, absolutely first class.”

Thanks to our refreshment stalls, which raised £600 for our school charity, Holding Space: Parent Peer Support in East Sussex, and to Sussex Coffee Trucks for keeping everyone refreshed with coffee and tea.

A big thank you to the staff who made the event possible, including Kerry Murray, Director of Sport, and the teams in marketing, catering, maintenance, and groundskeeping.
