St Andrew’s Pre-Prep school creating a strong foundation for learning
St Andrew’s Pre-Prep school provides quality education for all the children in its care, through a team of dedicated professionals who nurture the educational, social and pastoral needs of each and every child, in a caring, happy and stimulating environment by the sea and at the foot of the South Downs in Eastbourne.
The Pre-Prep school team understand the importance of an effective education for young children. We believe that education in the Pre-Prep school lays the firm foundations of the skills, knowledge and attitudes each child will need to ensure achievement and success throughout their academic life.
The good ratios of adult to child in each class allows staff to provide the very best start for the children. Each child receives the individual attention they need to ensure they achieve their maximum potential.
We value our children’s opinions and ideas and as part of this process, the Pre-Prep School Council, made up of two elected members from each class, meets regularly to discuss relevant matters and share ideas. The representatives canvas the opinions of their class and bring these forward at the meetings. They are always delighted to see that their ideas have actually affected change for their peers.
The Pre-Prep school is a bright, colourful and creative environment, with a warm, friendly and family atmosphere, where children feel safe and happy. The children are supported and encouraged to become confident, independent learners, not afraid to take risks and to gain a good positive attitude towards learning. To be the best that they can be. By working in a happy and creative atmosphere, children learn to feel positive about themselves, developing spiritually, culturally and socially as well as academically.
