St Andrew’s Prep boasts a truly international presence and over the last six years, more than 14 countries have represented by its pupils including China, Colombia, France, Holland, Hungary, Hong Kong, Italy, Kazakhstan, Nigeria, Russia, Spain, South Korea, Ukraine and the United Kingdom.

To help international students become stronger in English, and to benefit fully from all the educational opportunities on offer, St Andrew’s offers extra English lessons to all our overseas students. The programme is tailored to suit each child. Children are assessed on arrival and recommendations are made to parents through their agent or guardian.
Assisted transfers
A local taxi company offers the school a personal service using regular drivers. Arranged through the house parents, the taxi company offers assisted transfers to airports (Gatwick and Heathrow) for pupils at the start and end of each term, half terms and other occasions. Drivers accompany children to the check in and will personally hand them over to a member of the airport staff or will collect children from the airport staff and personally deliver them to St Andrew’s.
A chaperoned train service from Eastbourne to London Victoria on holiday leave periods and at weekends for weekly boarders, as well as a school minibus service back from Clapham Junction is available.

Fantastic school. My son has fully boarded for Year 7-8. His teachers and Housemaster are all passionate about their subjects and very supportive. Support from EAL is wonderful and my son’s English has improved tremendously. Facilities are excellent and sports are a big emphasis here. Loads of weekend activities including sightseeing, adventure park, water sports etc. Definitely recommended for those looking for an all-rounded education with boarding experience.
