Extra-Curricular Activities

Developing lifelong passions

A really good prep school education involves much more than just classroom subjects. St Andrew’s Prep offers a breadth of opportunity through its extra-curricular provision. Children have opportunities to sample and excel at a range of activities including archery, art, ballet, batik, Brownies, carpentry, chess, craft, cricket, fencing, football, golf, hockey, Lego clinic, patchwork, Piglet’s Pantry, Pi programming, Saturday strolls, school productions, sewing, shooting, squash, table tennis and water polo.  We encourage children to spend time getting involved in our clubs as well as our teams, choirs and orchestras.

Every Saturday morning (apart from exeat weekends) our Activities Programme is run for all children (day and boarding) in Year 4 upwards who would like to participate.  There are two sessions which run from 9am until 12.30pm. Children can select which activities they wish to take part in.

Through the extra-curricular programme children learn to work together benefiting themselves, the school and the wider community. Such teamwork fosters friendships across and within the year groups.

“The curriculum is enhanced by an excellent range of after-school activities for Year 1 upwards and co-curricular activities for Years 5 to 8.”
