St Andrew’s Day 2024

On Friday, we celebrated St Andrew’s Day, one of the most anticipated days in the school calendar. Pupils enjoyed a fantastic mix of games, challenges, sweets, and treats, along with the annual hat parade and talent show. A huge thank you to the Year eights for continuing the cherished tradition of organising the games and to everyone who helped make the day so entertaining and memorable.

As Barney Gregory, OA, put it: “I still can’t think of many other days in life that were more exciting at the time and made such lasting memories. If you close your eyes, you can almost see, hear, taste, and smell St Andrew’s Day.”
A group of schoolchildren in striped blazers and ties stand outdoors, smiling and clapping as they celebrate St Andrew’s Day. Several wear creative hats, including a turkey, a chef’s hat, and a blue top hat.
A group of children wearing decorated hats walk outdoors in a St Andrew's Day parade, holding hands. An adult woman in a blue hat and jacket smiles beside them. Some children carry balloons; buildings and autumn trees are in the background.
Five smiling young people pose indoors; one holds a lightbox sign reading #ST ANDREWS AY. The group stands in a well-lit room with grey walls and decorations, celebrating the spirit of St Andrew's Day 2024 together.
Two people wearing oversized inflatable sumo suits are playfully grappling in a gymnasium during a St Andrew's Day celebration. Both have padded headgear, one is smiling, and the blue wall and floor markings highlight the indoor sports setting.
Two young girls in white dresses and tights perform a dance routine on stage, illuminated by star-like lights—an enchanting celebration for St Andrew’s Day 2024. One girl balances gracefully whilst the other faces her, capturing the festive spirit.
Six people perform on stage with glowing star lights in the background for St Andrew’s Day 2024; four form a human pyramid as two others rest on the floor, heads propped on their hands, watching the group.
