Adventure Boyz film starring St Andrew’s Prep pupils and site hits the US and Canada

Adventure Boyz, starring St Andrew’s Prep pupils and brothers, Rory and Felix, is to be released on Friday 21 February across 100 streaming platforms in the US and Canada.

The film premiered at Cannes in May 2019 and has since received rave reviews across the industry, achieving great ratings on IMDB.com. The film’s music video, has also just been released and can be seen here.

The film was shot by Hollywood director and multi-award winner Howard J Ford who also stars in the film while Howard’s wife, Alicia, was co-producer. Howard and Alicia also happen to be Rory and Felix’s parents and Alicia is Head of Learning Support at St Andrew’s Prep!

With a very experienced supporting cast including Jon Campling, Harry Potter’s Death Eater, Adventure Boyz also features some of the boys’ friends from St Andrew’s Prep, who wear their distinctive school stripy blazers in a number of scenes filmed at both St Andrew’s Prep and Eastbourne College.

Gareth Jones, Headmaster of St Andrew’s Prep said, “I’m not at all surprised the thoroughly enjoyable Adventure Boyz,  filmed in our beautiful school, has made it across the pond. It is a hugely entertaining story, yet manages to get across the all-important message to children to get off their screens and head outside where real adventures begin. Everyone here at St Andrew’s Prep is enormously proud of its associations with the film and wishes the Ford family continued success.”

Adventure Boyz tells the story of a speedway rider dad and his two sons who get caught up with a gang of diamond thieves, but there is a ‘blue health’ subplot running through the film of “get off your devices and get out there”.

The film is to be released in the UK on Blue Ray and DVD next  month.
