Prickly Hay

Well done to all the Year 1 children who performed and sang beautifully at their Christmas play ‘Prickly Hay’.

Prickly Hay is the story of Sam, a hardworking young boy who had a very smelly job – to keep the animals clean and comfortable in fresh hay. Sam felt very insignificant because no one seemed to appreciate his hard work. However, on Christmas eve, some very special visitors came round, and Sam then realised his worth.

The play was a fantastic and creative celebration of Christmas. The children clearly enjoyed performing in front of the appreciative audience and they looked fantastic in their costumes.

Four children stand on stage in costumes, two wearing mouse ear headbands and two in casual clothes. Behind them, other children sit in costumes against a blue curtain backdrop with stars. Stage lighting highlights the performers.
