Primary Schools Olympic Challenge

Children from four local primary schools joined some of our Year 5 pupils for a fun-filled day of sporting challenges at our Primary Schools Olympic Challenge on Monday.

With inspirational training from ex GB Olympian hockey player, Rob Hill, GB Fencing Coach, Will Miller and our own Katie Lambert leading the way in cricket the children were able to improve existing skills and experience sports that they had never tried before.

After a delicious BBQ lunch under the shade of the trees the children managed to find the energy to compete in the Decathlon team event. After a hard fought battle which involved running, high jump, long jump and various throwing events the Reds emerged victorious and were presented with their medals. The team spirit amongst all the children was fantastic and hopefully new friendships were forged in what was a really fabulous day.
