Seniors Performance of Oliver Jr.

There is always something rather special about a St Andrew’s Prep production and this year’s Senior performance of Oliver! was no exception. From first note to final curtain, it was a confident showcase of talent and the genuine joy our cast brings to the stage.

Every pupil had a vital role in the success of the show. Whether it was standout moments centre stage, bringing depth as part of the chorus or working tirelessly behind the scenes, there was a true sense of community carried through every scene.

Across multiple performances from 9 to 11 June, the energy never dimmed. Pupils supported one another whilst embracing the butterflies and pouring everything into the performance. The production was enjoyed by the entire school community, as well as parents, staff and visiting schools.

Children perform in a stage production of Oliver! One child in yellow trousers stands centre stage, gesturing, while others in period costumes sit and watch. A handmade Oliver! sign hangs on the black brick wall.

Headmaster, Tom Gregory, said:

“It was an absolute joy from start to finish, a production that will live long in the memory. Bumble, Fagin, Nancy, Dodger, Bill and Oliver are some of the most iconic characters in musical theatre, and our pupils brought them to life with such confidence, character and charm that any West End stage would have welcomed them.”

The pupils worked incredibly hard throughout rehearsals to bring this show to life. We are immensely proud of every pupil who contributed and deeply grateful to the staff whose dedication brought this vision to life.
