Two stunning carol services close the Autumn term

Two touching Carol Services brought our very busy term to a close last week. The Nursery and Pre-Prep Carol service tugged on the heartstrings of all those who joined us in our beautiful chapel. A number of children from across the year groups formed a touching tableau of the Nativity scene and children, staff and parents all joined together for some beautiful carol singing.

This was followed by the stunning Prep School Carol service held locally at St John’s Church. Alice, who was offered a place in the National Children’s Choir of Great Britain earlier this month, opened the proceedings singing the opening verse of Once in Royal David’s City from the chancel while Nelly, a National Children’s Orchestra member, accompanied the congregation on the trumpet from the organ loft. The stunning harmonies of the school’s four choirs resounded around the church throughout the service illustrating the undeniable musical strength of St Andrew’s Prep. Our readers were confident and clear and the assembly joined in heartily.
