Our new outdoor play equipment!

It’s so lovely to see the pupils from Year 6 enjoying time and space with their friends on our field and to watch the children from Nursery, Reception and Year 1 enjoying our brand new outdoor play equipment.

This new Nursery and Pre-Prep playground includes a water play area with a pump, running water and buckets; there are climbing and balance structures and a scramble net to tackle, and a tunnel and bridge encourage the children to explore different ways of moving. The outdoor drums and xylophone are also a smash hit! A canopy above the seating area, to be used for outdoor teaching and performances, is due to be fitted next week to complete this fabulous new space kindly funded by a donation from former Headmaster, Dod Wainwright, and the Friends of St Andrew’s. We also thank Timotay Playscapes, who provided us with the new playing equipment.

Three young children play on wooden playground equipment outdoors. One boy stands on a log, another sits on a beam, and a third reclines on a net in the background. The grassy area is fenced with trees behind.Six kids are playing football on a grassy field, using simple equipment—a well-worn ball—while trees and houses line the background. Two boys kick the ball as others watch and laugh, everyone enjoying the game on a bright day.Four girls sit and chat on a grassy hill near a building with a sloped roof. Two face away, two look towards the camera. Dressed in casual clothes and hoodies, one wears a white beanie hat. Behind them is equipment, a modern building, trees, and parked cars. The kids are smiling and enjoying an outdoor activity.
