Sienna selected for regional tennis training
After winning the Sussex U9 singles, U10 doubles and placing second in the U10 singles back in September, Sienna Charsley has recently been selected and accepted for regional tennis training lead by the LTA. The training camps take place three times a year and create an opportunity for some of the best players to add to their current training experience.
Sienna is one of 16 girls that has been selected from Sussex, Kent, Middlesex and Surrey.
Sienna said “I am very happy with my achievement and have worked really hard to get to this standard throughout the last year. Playing with the best players from the region will be amazing and I hope that this will allow me to progress to Nationals. I am very excited.”
Not only is Sienna extremely excited for this incredible opportunity, her coach Roberto stated, “I am very proud of Sienna being called up to the regional training program, it is certainly a reward for her hard work and performance in 2021. Sienna’s passion and enthusiasm for tennis is admirable for such a young player and I am sure she will enjoy the experience and make the most of it.” – Roberto Pacheco-Escobar, Coach.
