Annual Sponsored Walk

We were blessed with glorious weather as the school set out for its annual sponsored walk last Saturday. The field filled with children, teachers, parents and dogs all eager to get onto the Downs and with a short, medium and long walk on offer, there was no excuse not to shake off some of the excesses of the summer holidays. Cllr Mike Thompson, the Mayor of Eastbourne was there to set everyone off.

This year, the sponsorship monies raised will be split between two charities: Canine Partners, a charity that provides assistance dogs for people with disabilities and The Rotary Club of Alleppey in India that provides sewing machines for widows.

Thank you to all the volunteers from the Rotary Club of Eastbourne who once again gave their time to guide and marshal the walk and also to John Boyle and his musical car, Melody, who gave the crowd some rousing tunes to start the walk.
