Spring Term: Week 8

Boarding Blog Week 8

As the exeat weekend arrives, the majority of boarders will be returning home to their families to enjoy some downtime ahead of the reopening of school on Monday. All of them can feel immensely proud of their efforts and the adaptability that they have shown throughout this national lockdown.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Colstocks staff who have worked tirelessly in support of the boarders who remained in-house during the last 8 weeks. Similarly, I would also like to say thank you to the Holroyd Howe team at Eastbourne College who have catered for our suppers and weekend meals. This cross-charity support has given our boarders an opportunity to experience first-hand the wonderful facilities at the College and I know that they have all been suitably impressed which, for many, will be their senior school destination.

Naturally our attention is now very much focused on Sunday evening as we look forward to welcoming back the rest of the boarders. Having spoken to a good number of them last Saturday I know that they are very much looking forward to being reunited with their friends in the House for the last two weeks of term.
