Sports Hall building works gather pace
What a difference a month makes. The St Andrew’s Prep sports hall building project is gathering pace and the works above the ground are making the children, staff, parents and friends of the school community very excited as they anticipate all that the new building will offer. The steel frame is now built, the roof is being assembled and it is anticipated that the building will be watertight by February and ready for use next summer.
When complete, the new space will contain a multi-purpose hall large enough for, amongst other things, four badminton courts with a viewing wall, a dance studio, changing rooms, offices and a reception area.
Headmaster, Gareth Jones, said, “I have a wonderful view of the building works from my study window and I am amazed at the speed by which the steel frame and roof have taken shape. Once complete, the new sports hall will further enhance the whole school site by providing a state-of-the-art sporting facility for future generations to enjoy.”
