St Andrew’s Prep Impress at IAPS U11 and U13 Boys Tennis Tournament
Congratulations to our Under 13 and Under 11 boys tennis teams who delivered superb performances at the IAPS Tennis Event. George P and Theo W claimed second place in the Under 11 event after excellent wins over Bede’s, St George’s and Amesbury before narrowly missing out to St Faith’s, Cambridge in the final. In the Under 13 competition Mason W and Herbie G also claimed second place, just edged out in a tight 10–8 tiebreak against Westminster. Both pairs showed great skill and sportsmanship and were a real credit to the school.
The boys represented the school with determination and composure, rising to the occasion against top-tier competition.
To finish second in such a competitive field is a superb accomplishment and reflects both the boys’ hard work and the strength of St Andrew’s Prep’s tennis programme.
Kerry Murray, Head of Sport at St Andrew’s Prep, praised the players’ efforts: “The boys were outstanding ambassadors for our school – not just for their results, but for the way they conducted themselves throughout. Their teamwork, resilience, and passion for the game were evident in each of their matches, and we’re extremely proud of their achievement.
