Summer Term: Week 10

The majority of our Year 8 boarders have spent the week enjoying trips of adventure as part of the Year 8 activity week. Yesterday, I joined the group for an outing to Thorpe Park and it was super to see them all moving about the park with huge smiles on their faces despite enduring some hair raising rides! In fact, this was the second visit to Thorpe Park within a week for our Year 8 boarders, who enjoyed an initial visit with the rest of the Colstocks clan last Sunday.

In the House, all the children have been watching the Euros together, with quite a few of our non-European boarders now supporting England! There has been a lovely atmosphere (and a lot of noise).

On Wednesday, we said goodbye to Steven Zhang, our longest serving boarder. Steven joined us five years ago as a sprightly nine year old and he leaves with fond memories that will last a lifetime.

Although there are no activities this Saturday, we are still running a full provision for the boarders. On Saturday I will be taking them to Hastings to play mini golf and on Sunday Mrs Hreben will be enjoying ‘Ninja Warrior’ with them, in town.

Congratulations to Jacky Zhou, this week’s recipient of Tommo’s Trophy for displaying positivity and politeness at all times.
