ICT

We believe that Computing and the use of ICT is central to the education of all children.

We aim to give each child the opportunity to apply and develop their technological understanding and skills across a wide range of situations and tasks. Children are encouraged to develop a confident and safe approach to Computing and the use of ICT, with the understanding of the capabilities and flexibility of their resources. 

Our Computing curriculum equips children to use computational thinking, creativity and problem solving skills in developing their coding expertise. Touch typing skills are also encouraged alongside digital and computer literacy in the 21st century. We promote ICT as an integral part of teaching and learning and see it playing a significant role in the education of all children at St Andrews Prep.

ICT underpins today’s modern lifestyles. It is essential that all pupils gain the confidence and ability they need in the subject.
